Liz Truss, launched the first edition of her YouTube show with a pledge to reveal "the evil-doers" striving to bring down Western democracies. She stated she would uncover how an "global web of liberal activists work to weaken the democratic process and the electorate's mandate."

"Our focus will be on the political movement of Donald Trump and understand how it can be accomplished in Britain," the former PM stated. "Our guests will include the leading lights of the Make America Great Again campaign."

Prior to the show's launch, there was a strong advocate. "This represents the dawn of a type of transformation," said veteran reporter John Solomon. The right-leaning Just the News will publish the ex-PM's new broadcasts.

Establishing Ties in the Conservative Media Landscape

UK-based allies, including a pro-Reform adviser, have also helped her set up the Liz Truss Show. The production is professional, if somewhat rudimentary. Truss has amassed a subscriber base of 10k in her debut week and her premiere had tens of thousands of views in that timeframe.

This represents a modest start, but in making common cause with John Solomon, she is being pushed into a established right-wing media network creating and spreading pro-Trump narratives. Central preoccupations involve claims of media suppression by the traditional news outlets and a desire to dismantle a so-called administrative state – which she attributes her downfall to for the swift end of her disastrous time in office.

"Just the News is not widely recognized beyond the Maga world, but it does have gravitas there, primarily thanks to Solomon, who gives commentary on conservative outlets like Steve Bannon's War Room and has even spoken with Trump," noted Alex Hinton, who has closely studied the Make America Great Again phenomenon.

A Controversial Partner

Truss's attempt to transplant the pro-Trump media model to the United Kingdom has aligned her more closely to contentious individuals such as the journalist.

He founded the platform in the wake of backlash following accusations of pushing misleading narratives about Joe Biden's anticorruption effort in Ukraine, as well as controversial stories about ex-ambassador to the region.

Solomon's reporting were echoed within the pro-Trump media, with Solomon serving as a frequent visitor on Sean Hannity's influential Fox News program. The former president personally promoted Solomon's reporting.

Solomon made the reports about Ukraine in a set of articles for the political newspaper the political newspaper, where he was re-labelled as a columnist after colleagues complained about his work. His claims were pivotal in Trump's demand for the Ukrainians to investigate the Bidens in 2019. Those demands led to articles of impeachment targeting Donald Trump. It found he had cited questionable informants and said he "omitted key facts about key Ukrainian sources, such as the reality that they had been formally accused or were under investigation."

Entering the Ecosystem

The journalist's personal broadcast spots are a example of the right-wing media network Truss is entering. Although her awkward delivery and professional woes have drawn derision in Britain, a number of stateside commentators are taking seriously her efforts to rebrand as a British branch of the Make America Great Again press.

Hinton said the expansion of the internet-based right wing in the UK recently meant the "potential to have a growing impact is substantial."
